Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Neurovascular

**Coverage Dates:** Flexible coverage required for 3 shifts per week until a permanent hire is secured. Candidates must be available for night shifts, with shifts scheduled as follows: 7 AM - 7 PM and 7 PM - 7 AM.  

**Schedule:** 3 total 12-hour shifts weekly.

**Provider Requirement:** 1 Nurse Practitioner  

**Coverage Reason:** Position open due to staff resignation linked to personal/family circumstances.  

**Practice Setting:** Inpatient/Hospital-Based 

 
**Leadership Role/Teaching Requirement:** Not applicable.

**Patient Population:** Adults and geriatrics only  

**Care Setting Mix:** 100% inpatient  
**Average Patient Load:** Varies  

**Trauma Level:** Not applicable  

**Key Responsibilities:** Role includes participation in code stroke response and providing post-procedure care for patients undergoing neurointerventional surgeries.  

**EMR System:** EPIC

**Shift Details:

** Candidate must commit to 3 12-hour shifts weekly until the position is filled, with the need for availability during nights. Shifts will alternate between 7 AM - 7 PM and 7 PM - 7 AM.

**Mandatory Qualifications:**  
- Board Certified by the AANP (REQUIRED)  

- Virginia state license (Preferred)  

- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS (REQUIRED)  

- Proven neurocritical care nursing experience (REQUIRED)  

- Must have a clean background with no history of malpractice or licensing issues (REQUIRED)  

**Certification Requirements:**  
- AANP  
- ACLS  
- BLS  

**Licensure Requirements:**  
- Active license in Virginia
