Locum - NP/PA - Cardiology (APP)

**SCHEDULE:**  
The work schedule is structured for Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30, with an additional commitment for one weekend of in-house rounding per month.

**PATIENT POPULATION MIX:**  
The clinical setting serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with coverage for Medicare and Medicaid patients.

**AVERAGE CASELOAD:**  
Expect to manage approximately 12-15 inpatient cases per day during rounding.

**SUPPORT STAFF:**  
Registered Nurses (RNs) will assist with discharge communication from the clinic, with additional hospital RN support as needed.

**SHIFT DESCRIPTION:**  
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 07:00 to 15:30.

**CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:**  
Candidates must possess ACLS and BLS certifications.

**PATIENT POPULATION MIX:**  
Experience with various demographics, including a focus on adolescents, adults, geriatrics, Medicare, and Medicaid, is essential.

**STATE LICENSURE REQUIREMENT:**  
Candidates must hold an active Illinois state license.

**MANDATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:**  

- Board Certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – either Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). 

 
- Recent experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.  

- Candidates must already be actively licensed in Illinois.

**AVAILABILITY:**  
Local candidates are strongly preferred.

**BACKGROUND CHECKS:**  
A clean and clear background is highly preferred.
