Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced ED environment.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and emergent conditions independently and collaboratively.
- Perform procedures within scope (e.g., suturing, splinting, I&D, wound care, joint reductions depending on facility).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 9a-6p, 11a-9p, or 4p-12a
- Facility: 20 ED beds (16 main, 4 fast track)
- EMR: Epic
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
Qualifications
- Active NP or PA license with ability to practice in Massachusetts
- National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)
- Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Strong procedural skills and comfort managing high‑acuity patients
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and teamwork abilities
