Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Vascular Surgery

 This contract, on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality vascular care within a dynamic and growing medical practice.

As a Locum Vascular Surgeon, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with vascular conditions, including arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical interventions. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes and advancing the standard of care in our community.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with vascular disorders.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic vascular studies, including ultrasound, angiography, and other imaging modalities.
• Execute surgical interventions, including endovascular procedures, bypass surgery, and amputation when necessary.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Monitor patient recovery, manage postoperative care, and address any complications promptly.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with practice and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to vascular emergencies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about vascular health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Stay current with advancements in vascular surgery and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical care.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or active candidacy in Vascular Surgery.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
• Associate-level experience in vascular surgery, with demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Strong surgical skills, including both open and endovascular techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and contract requirements.

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7a-7a, specific dates
