Description
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care through advanced imaging techniques and diagnostics. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our community.
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures
- Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging results
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Prior experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 80-100 cases
Case Types: Bread and butter cases, reading for ED
Procedures: Swallows and fluoroscopy, no breast or MSK
PACS: InteleViewer
Dictation: Nuance
Must be board-certified
