This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on-site and contribute to the critical field of medical practice, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of pathology.
As a Locum MD specializing in Pathology, you will be responsible for performing examinations, interpreting lab results, and providing expert guidance in patient diagnosis and treatment plans. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and ensuring high-quality medical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pathological examinations and analyses of tissue samples
- Interpret laboratory results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to discuss patient cases
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on laboratory findings
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in quality assurance programs and clinical audits
- Stay current with advancements in pathology and medical practices
- Provide training and support to junior medical staff
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pathology is preferred
- Experience in a clinical pathology setting is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts
Setting: Onsite preferred
Patient Census: 20 per day
Must be board-certified
