Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Ob/Gyn

Position Overview

A respected healthcare facility in Powell is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Ob/Gyn Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full‑scope Ob/Gyn care including prenatal visits, labor & delivery coverage, postpartum care, and routine gynecologic services.
• Manage both low‑risk and high‑risk pregnancies.
• Perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries as required by the facility.
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with CNMs, nurses, and other members of the women’s health team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
• Provide patient‑centered care with strong communication and clinical judgment.

Assignment Details

• Clinic & call coverage
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour clinic shifts
• Call: 24-hour shifts
• Daily Volume: 6-8 patients
• Support Staff: 2 CNMs, 1 FM with OB experience
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA registration
• Strong surgical, obstetric, and clinical decision‑making skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
