Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Maternal Fetal Medicine

 This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide expert care to expectant mothers and their babies, ensuring the highest standards of maternal and fetal health.

As a Locum MD in Maternal Fetal Medicine, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing high-risk pregnancies, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the health outcomes of our patients and help maintain our commitment to excellence in maternal care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with high-risk pregnancies
• Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of maternal and fetal conditions
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Perform advanced ultrasound and diagnostic procedures
• Offer counseling and education to patients regarding their conditions
• Monitor and interpret fetal well-being through various testing methods
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department

Requirements

• MD degree with specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine is preferred
• Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
• Strong clinical skills in managing high-risk pregnancies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

Level III NICU

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts

Daily Patient Census: 30 OP, 10 IP, and 10 admissions

Support Staff: 2 perinatologists, 3 OB/GYNs, 2 neonatologists, 3 CRNPs, 5 CNMs, NICU in-house midlevel providers

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
