 This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality urological care to patients while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.

As a Locum Urology Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions, performing necessary procedures, and developing comprehensive treatment plans. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care and contribute to the overall success of our medical practice. This role is ideal for a physician seeking flexibility and professional growth in a supportive clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and prostate disorders
• Perform urological examinations, procedures, and minor surgical interventions as needed
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, imaging studies, and urodynamic evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
• Provide patient education on urological health, preventive care, and treatment options
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent urological consultations
• Stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in urology
• Ensure compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Urology
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice
• Associate-level experience in urology or a related field
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Ability to work on-site in Muncie and adhere to a contract schedule

Schedule: 1 week/month, 24-hour call

EMR: Cerner, Epic

Must be board-certified

Additional Certifications: BLS
