Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Urology

 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality urological care in a supportive environment, while addressing the needs of our diverse patient population.

As a Locum Urologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating urological conditions, performing surgeries, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is vital to maintaining the continuity of care for our patients and will involve working closely with our medical team to enhance our service delivery in the urology department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with urological conditions
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Perform urological surgeries and procedures as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
• Educate patients and their families about urological health and treatment options
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in urology and medical practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current state medical license to practice in New York
• Board certification or eligibility in Urology
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in urology or related field
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices

Schedule: 2 clinic shifts per week (8a-5p) + 24-hour call

Robotics skillset is a plus
