This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive medical services, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility in their work schedule while making a significant impact on patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with medical best practices and guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- Valid MD or DO license to practice in the state
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of medical principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Board certification in relevant specialties preferred
- Level I Trauma
Shift Type: 24-hour call shifts
Patient Population: High acuity
2 CVORs, 20-bed CVICU
Duties: Provide management for cardiothoracic surgery patients across the continuum of care, deliver surgical coverage, consults, daily rounding, and on-call duties
Support Staff: ICU team, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff
Procedures Required: CABG, valve surgery, ECMO, emergent post-PCI, Type A aortic dissections, chest exploration/re-entry/postoperative bleeding management, temporary mechanical circulatory support management, TAVR
EMR: Cerner + iMed
Must be board-certified
