Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiation Oncology

 This contract position offers an on-site working environment where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cancer patients while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement personalized radiation treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Stay updated with advancements in radiation oncology techniques
• Participate in patient education and support programs
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state of Kentucky
• Experience in Radiation Oncology (Associate level)
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of radiation therapy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 8a-4:30p

No call requirement

Patient Volume: 20 per day

Duties:Oversee treatments, new consults, follow-ups, planning, status checks, and tumor conference participation

Case Types: Various oncologic disease states

Required Procedures: SBRT, IMRT, 3D, SRS

Support Staff: 1 RN, 4 Radiation Therapists, 2 Medical Physicists, and 3 Dosimetrists

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
