This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to work within a leading medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and innovative treatment options.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Your expertise in radiation oncology will contribute significantly to enhancing our service offerings and achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and implement tailored radiation treatment plans
- Perform radiation therapy procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans
- Adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines in all procedures
- Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology treatment methods
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- State medical license to practice in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation oncology
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
