As a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care, performing surgeries, and collaborating with our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures and patient evaluations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients
• Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options and recovery
• Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
• Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic techniques and technologies
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in orthopedic procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Experience in a similar locum or contract role is preferred

Schedule: Day, night, and weekend call coverage

Shift Information: 24-hours

Duties: Consults, surgery, and rounding

Average Daily Volume: 8 patients

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
