Description

 This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in a supportive clinical environment.

As a Locum Ob/Gyn physician, you will deliver high-quality patient care, including prenatal care, labor and delivery support, gynecological examinations, and surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, midwives, and specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients across the Exeter community.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
• Manage prenatal care, labor, and delivery services
• Perform gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct and assist in obstetric and gynecological surgical procedures
• Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
• Counsel patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide urgent clinical intervention
• Adhere to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in case reviews and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Stay current with advances in obstetrics and gynecology

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
• Associate-level experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric and gynecological care
• Experience in labor and delivery management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Willingness to work on-site in Exeter
• Availability for a contract-based locum assignment

Schedule: 24-hour weekend beeper call shifts

Annual Deliveries: 600-700

Responsibilities: ER consults, inpatient consults, L&D, and OR (if needed)

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified 

ACLS, BLS and DEA required
