Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Neurology

 This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care within a vibrant medical practice environment.

As a Locum Neurologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a variety of neurological conditions while working closely with a team of healthcare professionals. This position allows you to engage with patients and make meaningful contributions to their health outcomes. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with neurological disorders
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various neurological conditions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in neurology
• Provide consultations and ongoing care for patients
• Educate patients and their families on neurological health and treatments
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team initiatives

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• State medical license to practice in a clinical capacity
• Residency training in Neurology
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in neurology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred

Schedule: 7a-7p

Call: 7p-7a

Setting: Hospital and rehab

Support Staff: Nursing staff and techs

Duties: Inpatient call, consults, rounding, stroke alerts, and reading EEGs

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Basic life support certification required

Paid travel and expenses
