Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Neonatology

 This on-site contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized care for newborns in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.

As a Neonatologist, you will play a crucial role in the management of critically ill neonates, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for our youngest patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality neonatal care in the Bismarck area.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to neonates in need
• Conduct assessments and manage treatment plans for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in the NICU setting
• Educate and support families regarding their newborn’s care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols
• Participate in care coordination and patient discharge planning
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes for patients under your care
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in neonatology

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Neonatology or eligibility for certification
• Prior experience in a neonatology clinical setting preferred
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Active medical license to practice in the state of North Dakota

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

Level IIIB NICU

Average Census: 8 patients per day, 3 admits per week

All NICU-specific procedures required

Support Staff: RNs and NNP

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

BLS and PALS required

Paid travel and expenses
