Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Medical Oncology

This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical practice setting.

As a Locum Medical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. 

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for patients with various types of cancer
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-up appointments
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments as necessary
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and cancer management
• Document patient information accurately in medical records
• Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical trials as needed

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Medical Oncology
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in oncology care and treatment protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

• Flexible Schedule: 8a-5p
• No call requirement
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Daily Volume: 6 inpatients, 4-6 outpatients
• Case Types: All tumors, including benign
• No liquid/malignant cases, including leukemia
• Support Staff: Other physicians, APPs, and clinic nurses
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
