Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Internal Medicine

As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive patient care, managing a diverse patient population, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to patients in an outpatient setting
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Manage chronic and acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
• Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices in Internal Medicine
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in Internal Medicine, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Outpatient internal medicine practice

Patient Volume: 20 per day

Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

15 or 30-minute patient visits

Support Staff: RNs, MAs, and patient service representatives

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
