Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist

A respected healthcare facility in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Hospitalist (MD/DO) to provide high‑quality inpatient care within a well‑supported hospital medicine program. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for adult patients.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary teams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to rapid responses and codes (depending on facility requirements).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
• Deliver patient‑centered care with strong communication and clinical judgment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 5p-5a, 7 on/7 off
• No call required
• Closed ICU
• Will respond to codes and RR if it is your patient
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA registration
• Prior inpatient hospitalist experience required
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced hospital environment
