Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures in accordance with best practices
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Provide consultation and support to patients and their families
• Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and innovations
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while ensuring compliance

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current medical license to practice in the state of operation
• Completion of a residency program in General Surgery
• Strong clinical skills and surgical expertise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call shifts, specific dates

Case Types: Hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, "lumps and bumps," abscess drainage, endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy), appendectomy, small bowel, and colon surgery

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
