Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

As a Locum Emergency Physician, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive emergency medical services, collaborating closely with nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing excellent medical care while maintaining an efficient workflow within our facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Perform complex assessments and diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and treatment
• Assist in the training and supervision of resident doctors and medical students
• Respond to emergency situations and manage critical care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license to practice in the state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, specific dates

Annual Volume: 30k patients

Daily Census: 80-100 patients

Support Staff: Mid-levels

Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, and ICU

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
