Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

 This contract position will require on-site presence and offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care and make a difference in the community's health outcomes.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care. This role is essential for maintaining the operational capacity of our medical practice while supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics
• Manage acute medical conditions and perform necessary procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans
• Stay updated on best practices and advances in emergency medicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license in the state of Freeport
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Commitment to providing quality patient care
• Experience in a similar emergency medicine setting is preferred

Schedule: 12-hour day, night, swing shifts

Annual Volume: 24k patients

EMR: MediTech

Must be board-certified
