Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical services, ensuring patient safety and well-being in our emergency department. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, managing a diverse array of medical cases and contributing to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients in emergency situations
• Conduct examinations, diagnosis, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer when necessary
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Participate in continuing education and training
• Stay informed about the latest developments in emergency medicine
• Provide leadership and guidance to medical personnel in the emergency department

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state of Texas
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Strong clinical skills and emergency care experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Experience working as a locum tenens physician is a plus

Schedule: 6a-6p or 6p-6a

No call requirement

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Daily Census: 45-80 per day, depending on location

Must be proficient incentral line placement, intubation, dislocation reductions, trauma, STEMI, strokes, OB deliveries, ultrasound utilization, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repair

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
