Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

This contract position requires an on-site presence, providing an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You'll collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout their surgical experience, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
• Evaluate patients pre-operatively to determine anesthesia requirements
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff for optimal patient care
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the perioperative period
• Respond promptly to emergencies and adjust anesthesia as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
• Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and techniques

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility for certification
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts

1:4 beeper call rotation, 6a-6a

Patient Population: All ages

Cases: Bread & butter

Will supervise and do cases independently

Support Staff: 3 additional anesthesiologists, 5 anesthesiologist assistants

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
