Locum CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) Anesthesiology

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs throughout the surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
• Manage anesthesia equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia processes and care
• Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary interventions
• Document anesthesia care accurately in the medical records

Requirements

• Active CRNA certification and state licensure
• Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
• Experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting
• Solid understanding of anesthesia techniques and pharmacology
• Strong communication and patient management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking abilities
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

Schedule: 7p-7a

Adult cases required, pediatric cases preferred

Required Skills: Spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, neurosurgical cases, OB cases, complex orthopedic cases, and vent management

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
