The provider will perform first assisting duties in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and conduct inpatient rounds. They will also participate in clinic activities and utilize the Epic electronic medical record system.
Job Description
**Position: Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)**
**FTEs: 1**
**Coverage Duration:** Immediate start, up to 1 year
**Practice Setting:** Inpatient
**Shift Schedule:** Anticipated 4x10 hour shifts; 7 AM to 5 PM (exact schedule TBD).
**Daily Responsibilities:** Involvement in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures. Proficient in vein harvesting is mandatory; radial harvesting expertise is preferred but not essential.
**Key Duties:** Functions will include first assisting in surgical procedures, conducting rounds, and participating in clinic activities as needed.
**Electronic Medical Record System:** EPIC
**Required Certifications:** Must possess Board Certification, first assist certification, BLS, and ACLS credentials (American Heart Association).
**State Licensure:** An active Oregon medical license is essential.
