Through the Hub Café & Coffee Bar, we build community by providing exceptional hospitality through high-quality food, beverages, and service that bless our church family and guests.  The Line Cook plays an essential role in this ministry by preparing and serving fresh, high-quality menu items while ensuring a consistent and excellent dining experience.  This position requires someone who enjoys serving behind the scenes, takes pride in preparing food with accuracy and consistency, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintains the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness, and contributes to a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects The Grove’s commitment to hospitality and excellence.

Reports to:          Kitchen Manager

Works with:        Hub staff and volunteers

Works:                 Part time, Hourly, Approximately 25 hours per week; weekends mandatory
 

FOOD – 85%

Assist Kitchen Manager and Prep Cooks.
Prepare food for café open hours.
Perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service.
Ensure sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; comply with all health and safety regulations.

OTHER – 15%    

Clean and maintain all kitchen area and equipment.
Deep cleaning of kitchen, walk in, freezer and Hub areas once per week.
Stock supplies from the back of house to front of house once per week.
Receive orders when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Riverside County Food Handler’s Permit.
