Employment Status:  Full Time   or    Part Time         Seasonal

Wage Range: $15.00 -$16.00/hr

Position Summary:

Position monitors validity of ticket/passes to limit fraudulent use.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

• Checks every ticket or season pass using a radio scanner.
• May cross train with other elements of the Lift Operations Department.
• Assists with snow shoveling and crowd control maze set-up.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Also, works in cooperation with Schweitzer Security.
• Must be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain facilities and amenities.
• Must be comfortable working with large groups of people.

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications- None     

Technical- None                           

Physical Capabilities- Able to stand outside in all weather conditions and temperatures. Able to assist guests stand up with the possibility of lifting 50+ pounds.

Additional- Previous skiing or snowboarding experience is a plus but not required. Good communication skills required; guest service; team spirit attitude.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication skills, basic math skills. Some computer knowledge required.

Minimum time in a related position - Skiing or snowboarding background helpful but not required.

Equipment and Safety/Protective Equipment Used:

Radios, tablets, shovels, brooms, Pulaski, rakes, drills, chairlifts.

Gear provided – Helmet, Snow pants, inner snow jacket, and outer shell jacket.

Gear NOT provided – Hat, gloves, base layers, boots, board, skis.
