Horizons Residential Care Center (HRCC) is a nonprofit Intermediate Care Facility providing 24-hour residential support to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our PRN nurses help maintain consistent, person-centered care in a structured, lower-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a residential / ICF setting

• Administer and document medications per physician orders

• Complete accurate documentation in Therap and EMR systems

• Monitor resident conditions and report changes appropriately

• Perform controlled medication counts and report discrepancies

• Collaborate with DSPs, Medication Technicians, and nursing leadership

• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies

Qualifications

Required

• Current, valid LPN license in the State of North Carolina

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Comfort with electronic medical records

• Valid NC driver’s license

Preferred

• Experience in residential, long-term care, pediatrics, or ICF settings

• Current CPR/BLS certification

Scheduling

PRN / As Needed
Shift availability discussed during interview process.
