Licensed Home Inspector (Greater Lubbock City Area)

• Company-provided mold, lead, radon, sewer scope equipment and software license provided depending on your license, certification, TREC rules, and state laws.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of residential and or commercial properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or defectsInspect various systems and components of the home, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural elements, among othersUse specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections and accurately document findings within 24 hoursPrepare detailed inspection reports that clearly outline any observed deficiencies or concernsCommunicate inspection findings to clients in a professional and informative mannerProvide recommendation of contractor types for repairs or maintenance based on inspection results

• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and TREC regulations to ensure compliance during inspections

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid and current (or currently working towards) TREC Home Inspectors license.

Must be able to stand, crawl in tight crawl spaces, walk, climb ladders, climb and walk on roofs, and lift 25 poundsCell phone with data plan and willingness to learn how to operate a drone (if interested)Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defectsClean background (federal and state)Effective communication skills to clearly convey inspection findings to clientsMust not be scared of crawlspaces (tight spaces) or roofs (heights).

• Must have or be willing to carry General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage (costs around $32 a month) or what ever the TREC current limits are.

This job is excellent for employees who want to make the most of their time. You will get paid per job completed. This allows you to do 1 inspection per day for your first 15 inspections. Then you can do 2 a day for the first year. After year one you can choose to do 3 full home inspections per day. Depending on your availability and needs. This can be a perfect part-time to full-time position. You do get to craft your own schedule. You are paid weekly with no hold back time frame. We are perfectly comfortable hiring inexperienced, but credentialed home inspectors.
