At Atterbury Job Corps, our Licensed Addictions Counselor leads the Center's alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention program — educating, counseling, and supporting students so they can stay enrolled and reach their full potential.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and facilitate the Center's alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention program, integrating services into the Center's broader programmatic functions
Educate and counsel students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program
Administer the Center's drug testing program to help maintain a drug-free environment
Develop and coordinate community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse
Provide comprehensive, individualized case management to support student progress, retention, and program completion
Establish supportive, mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment
Counsel students individually and in group settings on substance abuse
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with all HIPAA laws
WHAT YOU BRING
Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification meeting minimum state requirements for the state where the Center is located (required)
Degree from an accredited school (preferred)
Minimum of one year of experience in drug/alcohol counseling or a related field (preferred)
