Global Accounting Lead, LHH CTM

Position Summary:

The Global Accounting Lead, LHH Career Transition and Mobility (CTM) is responsible for strengthening global accounting governance and consistency across the organization. The role partners with regional and country finance directors, GBS Accounting, FP&A, and Sales to ensure balance sheet accounts are reviewed consistently, key variances are analyzed and explained, accounting policies and procedures are applied appropriately, and opportunities for process improvement are identified and implemented. The position also owns the compilation and analysis of monthly Free Cash Flow reporting and supports the quarterly forecasting of Free Cash Flow.

• Direct Reports - None; may provide functional guidance, project leadership, and governance oversight to regional, country, and shared service finance teams

• Location – U.S. Remote

Travel:

• Minimal travel required; occasional regional or international travel may be required for finance reviews, process alignment, or implementation projects

• Language skills - English required; additional languages are a plus

Major Responsibilities

•         Liaise with regional and country finance directors to ensure global accounting consistency, proper accounting treatment, and accurate reporting of financial statements in alignment with US GAAP, Group Accounting Policies, and internal control requirements.

•         Partner with country directors of finance to ensure balance sheet accounts are reviewed consistently, material variances are analyzed timely, and account review packages include clear reconciliations, roll-forwards, aging analysis, and well-supported explanations of key movements.

•         Conduct consolidated balance sheet reviews to assess integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the global consolidated balance sheet; apply best-practice methodologies to validate completeness, reasonableness, and consistency across regions and entities.

•         Identify high-risk or judgmental balance sheet accounts, including deferred revenue, rebate accruals, intercompany balances, accrued expenses, reserves, AR, and other working capital accounts; ensure appropriate documentation, analysis, and follow-up actions are in place.

•         Oversee the consistent application of accounting policies and procedures across countries and regions; identify policy gaps, interpretive inconsistencies, and process weaknesses, and formulate practical recommendations for improvement.

•         Work closely with the GBS Accounting team on global transactions, intercompany transactions, recurring close activities, and process issues that require cross-country coordination or accounting governance.

•         Compile, prepare, and analyze monthly Free Cash Flow reporting, providing insight into underlying drivers, trends, working capital movements, and unusual or non-recurring items.

•         Partner with FP&A and regional finance teams to support quarterly forecasting of Free Cash Flow, including review of forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, and alignment with business trends.

•         Prepare and analyze global DSO and accounts receivable reporting, highlight areas of risk, and recommend actions to improve cash collections and working capital performance.

•         Provide oversight of the intercompany billing process to ensure monthly variances are identified, explained, and eliminated timely; provide arbitration and escalation support among regions when needed.

•         Provide oversight and governance over centralized billing to ensure global agreements receive appropriate approvals, consider local resourcing and statutory constraints, and are coordinated effectively with Sales and Global Contracting during client negotiations.

•         Provide oversight of rebate accounting for global contracting, including consistency of methodology, support for accruals, variance analysis, and coordination of related reporting requirements.

•         Assist in the improvement and development of business processes, system integrations, accounting tools, reporting templates, and deployment of new systems or enhancements that improve global accounting accuracy and efficiency.

•         Support audit, compliance, and internal control activities by coordinating with regional and country finance teams, responding to information requests, and ensuring accounting matters are supported by appropriate documentation.

Required Experience/Characteristics

•         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.

•         Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience; international or multi-country experience strongly preferred. Director-level candidates should demonstrate broader leadership, governance, and stakeholder management experience.

•         Technically strong US GAAP skills, with experience applying accounting policies across complex, matrixed, or multi-entity organizations.

•         Demonstrated experience with balance sheet review, account reconciliation governance, variance analysis, month-end close processes, and audit support.

•         Experience analyzing Free Cash Flow, working capital, DSO, AR, intercompany, rebates, or other global accounting and reporting metrics.

•         Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting matters, reporting trends, and process issues to senior finance leadership and business partners.

•         Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across regional finance teams, country finance directors, GBS, FP&A, Sales, and other stakeholders without direct reporting authority.

•         Action-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-starting, with the ability to maintain composure, prioritize effectively, and drive follow-up in a fast-paced environment.

•         Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, logical decision-making, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

•         Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required; experience with ERP, consolidation, reporting, or planning systems preferred.

•         Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process gaps, develop practical recommendations, and help implement standardized accounting processes across a global organization.

Compensation: $95,000 – 120,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
