Leaf Crew (Part-Time)

General Statement of Duties

Performs physically demanding outdoor leaf collection and maintenance duties, as assigned. This work is performed under the direction of the Public Works Director. An employee must be able to perform necessary tasks to remove leaves from the City of Henderson’s streets, lift 50 pounds or more, and perform the basic life operational functions within adverse weather conditions.

Essential Functions of Work

• Performs tasks necessary to remove leaves from City of Henderson’s streets.
• Carries out any assigned responsibilities relating to the City of Henderson’s Public Works Department as directed by supervisors.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports problems to supervisor.
• This position is required to work in a variety of adverse weather conditions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the current methods, materials, practices and tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with other City personnel and the public.
• Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and hearing.
