Position Summary: As a Lead Server at Eldora, you will provide friendly and efficient service to guests in a fast-paced, mountain dining environment. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and creating a warm and welcoming experience for guests looking to refuel and relax. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team are essential for this role.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process promptly.
• Must be able to perform open and closing shift duties, including correct and accurate inventory oversight.
• Be familiar with all products, up-sell items, and give recommendations according to current promotions.
• Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe working environment, while remaining respectful of all guests and employees includes bussing tables and cleaning up messes as they arise.
• Prepares and delivers food and drink to patrons, navigating crowded areas and stairs.
• Proper upkeep of outlet; includes following Standard Operating Procedures specific to each outlet, at all times. Stocking stations, preparing outlets for opening and closing.
• Engaging with guests, answering inquiries, and providing menu descriptions using suggestive selling techniques to further sales and enhance guest enjoyment.
• Accurately ring in all items and adhering to department standards and accounting practices, understanding that failing to accurately record items will result in termination.
• Check for customer satisfaction, informing management of potential problems with guests, employees, inventory and equipment.
• Must be prepared to accept new responsibilities and transfer others
• Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
• All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.

Specific Job Skills:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old to make alcoholic beverages for guests.

• Ability to show self-initiative while working within a team atmosphere.
• Positive attitude towards guests and coworkers for the entirety of shift

• Must be able to support team members through teamwork and mutual respect.
• Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment.

Physical Demands:

• Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, and work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment for long periods of time.
• Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.
• Concentrated reading and writing.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.  
• Variation in temperature from hot to cold.

Schedule:

• Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:30am-4:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm
• Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 6:30am-2:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm
• This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $14.55/hr+ tips.
• Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
