The YMCA at the Southeast Family YMCA is an approved Pilot Site for Preschool For All starting in the Fall of 2024. Preschool For All is a Multnomah County funded program looking to connect 3 and 4 year olds with free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experience.

Job Responsibilities:
A Lead Teacher will work in the program supervising teachers, aides, and volunteers. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, developing and implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community.
Requirements
- Pass a YMCA Background Check
- Meet all lead teacher standards as dictated by Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care and Preschool for All including one of the following: 1) Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry, 2) Associates Degree or higher in a child development related field, 3) State or nationally recognized credential related to preschool (please inquire for more information) - Please include this with your application if possible
- Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- At least 18 years of age
