In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies the lead/Senior Group Facilitator will play a pivotal role in facilitating Outpatient Programs (IOP) via Telehealth, specializing in mental health and substance mis-use treatment.  Under the supervision of the Vice President of Strategy, the facilitator will conduct diagnostic assessments, including substance use and mental health evaluations- This role involves group facilitation, supporting patient placement in the IOP and collaborating closely with leadership to develop this innovative IOP pilot program, ensuring delivery of high quality effective and ethical care.  Experience in curriculum development and program implementation is essential to ensuring the delivery of high quality, effective care.

Hours: Hybrid- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am-2:30-pm, Wednesday 9:00am- 3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Group Facilitation:

Lead and facilitate IOP groups via Telehealth focused on mental health, substance misuse within a supportive, engaging, and evidenced based therapeutic environment, maintaining fidelity to RNP’s mission and ethical standards.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all group participants.

Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with the Vice President of Strategy on developing, implementing and refining Telehealth IOP pilot programs tailored to individuals with mental health and substance use challenges, fostering innovation while adhering to organizational standard.
Assist the Vice President of Strategy in creating, reviewing and updating the treatment curricula and group activities in evidenced based practices reflecting RNP’s mission of compassionate ethical and client centered care.

Individual Support:

Provide individualized support to group participants as needed, helping them to apply group learnings to their personal recovery journeys.
Identify and address any barriers to participation or engagement in the group process.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, including attendance, participant progress, and any incidents.
Prepare reports and contribute to treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.

Team Collaboration:

Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and supervision sessions to ensure coordinated care.
Work closely with case managers, therapists, and other healthcare providers to support client goals and treatment plans.

Crisis Intervention:

Recognize and respond to crisis situations within the group setting, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
Collaborate with the clinical team to address crises and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

Qualifications:

Education:

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LADC, LMFTA, LMFT, or similar in the state of CT.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in group facilitation within a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
Experience working with diverse populations, including those with co-occurring disorders.

Skills:

Strong group facilitation and leadership skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in a relevant therapeutic modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing).
Bilingual in Spanish.
Knowledge of local community resources and support systems.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in a clinical setting, with the possibility of remote or hybrid work depending on program needs.
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate client needs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods during group sessions.
Ability to navigate stairs and/or use elevators as needed.
