LAUNDRY PERSONNEL

Job Details: Job Location: Grapevine Medical Lodge - GRAPEVINE, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, Core Responsibilities

Collection and Sorting: Gather dirty linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing. Sort items by fabric type, color, and degree of soil, separating items that need special stain treatment.

Machine Operation: Load industrial washers and dryers, add proper amounts of detergent or bleach, and operate equipment safely.

Folding and Distribution: Fold clean items, stack them neatly, and deliver fresh linens or labeled personal clothes back to resident rooms or storage areas.

Clothing Labeling: Mark new resident clothing and personal items with identifying names or barcodes to prevent loss. [1]

Sanitation and Safety: Clean and disinfect laundry equipment and work areas daily. Follow infection control standards and universal precautions when handling soiled items.

Qualifications: High School diploma preferred. 

Previous experience preferable but not essential.
Worker receives on the job training with supervision
Must have an understanding of standard procedures used in laundry services for patients and in caring for clothes, linens, equipment and supplies.
Has an interest in learning, ability to cooperate and is willing to work under supervision.
Must have the ability to work well with co workers.
