KS1078 - Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant/Mother's Helper - SoHo, NYC

Overview

A family of four in NYC's Tribeca area is seeking a full-time, live-out family assistant.  The family’s current nanny is leaving to tend to her own family.  They have two children: a 1.5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl.  The 3-year-old is in school full-time.  The schedule is Monday through Friday 7am-7pm or 730am-730pm.  If the candidate preferred, it could also be Tuesday through Saturday,  7am-7pm or 730am-730pm.  It is up to the candidate.  The mom is home full-time and very hands-on.  The family assistant’s main role is to help wherever needed.  They will not need to take the children out of the house, manage schedules, or do after-school activities.  It is more about being a true right hand wherever Mom needs help that day.    The candidate should already live locally or within commuting distance of NYC.  The position is ready to hire immediately once we find the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• True right hand to the mom
• No driving is required
• No cooking is needed
• Light housekeeping for the children’s areas, keeping the kitchen clean, and family laundry
• Schedule is either 7am or 7:30am start and ending around 7pm or 7:30pm (12 hr days). 
• Flexibility to stay later in the evenings, during date nights/events up to 1-2x a week.  Uber home in late evenings.
• Travel is involved at other times, as follows:
  • Miami:
    • Travel to Miami during the winter and ability to stay for a couple of weeks at a time with a nearby private hotel room provided.
  • Hamptons
    • Live in during July and August in the Hamptons (Water Mill area)
    • Traveling to the Hamptons in either the Jitney or LIRR (her choice)
  • International travel
    • For future trips - nothing planned at the moment

Requirements

• Must be legal to work in the US
• Already live locally in NYC or a commutable distance
• Fluent in Tagalog is a plus
• Prior experience working long hours
• Passport ready and open to travel
• Live-In in the Hamptons for two summer months

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a competitive rate of $45/hr++ depending on experience.
