KO744 - Full-Time Infant Nanny - Upper East Side, NY

Overview

A loving family on the Upper East Side is seeking a warm, experienced, and highly capable rockstar nanny to care for their four-month-old infant. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, proactive, developmentally minded, and comfortable working closely with highly involved parents. The position is ideally slated to begin at the end of September, though there is some flexibility for the right candidate.The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 50 hours per week. The family travels periodically and would love to find a nanny who is comfortable and excited to accompany them on both domestic and international travel from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive, full-charge care for one infant.
• Work collaboratively and in tandem with highly involved parents while confidently taking ownership of the baby's daily routine and care.
• Actively engage the baby throughout the day through reading, singing, talking, play, and age-appropriate activities.
• Support developmental milestones, including sitting, crawling, fine and gross motor development, and emerging communication.
• Incorporate age-appropriate, Montessori-inspired activities and opportunities for independent exploration.
• Introduce and encourage baby sign language.
• Take the baby on daily walks, outings, classes, and activities throughout the Upper East Side.
• Maintain consistent nap and sleep routines.
• Prepare and feed bottles.
• Support the transition to formula and combination feeding.
• Assist with the introduction of purées, solids, and other age-appropriate foods as directed by the parents.
• Maintain the nursery, play areas, toys, and child-related belongings.
• Handle child-related tidying, laundry, and organization as needed.
• Communicate openly and consistently with the parents regarding the baby's daily activities, development, feeding, sleep, and any concerns.
• Adapt to the baby's evolving needs and developmental stages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for infants, particularly babies under one year old.
• Strong understanding of infant development and developmental milestones.
• Experience introducing solids and purées.
• Familiarity with the Upper East Side and its local classes, parks, activities, and resources is preferred.
• Warm, loving, engaging, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
• Self-directed and proactive, with excellent judgment.
• Adaptable and responsive as the baby's needs evolve.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with parents.
• Confident taking initiative while respecting the family's parenting philosophy and preferences.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing daytime care for babies under one year old.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID, flu, MMR, RSV, and Tdap, as required by the family.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Excellent, verifiable references from previous families.
• Willingness and ability to travel with the family as needed.

Salary and Benefits

Compensation: 
$36–$40 per hour, depending on experience- family is open to going up for the right fit!!!!Will benefits for excellent candidates
