Job Purpose

The Kitchen Team Member at Good Earth Markets supports the daily production of fresh, high-quality juices, tonics, and nutritious grab and go items that align with Good Earth Markets' commitment to health and wellness. This helps to ensure products are prepared efficiently, safely, and consistently while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge each customer as they approach the kitchen, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Preparing  juices, smoothies, tonics, sandwiches, salads and other kitchen “grab-and-go” products according to established recipes and quality standards

Follow recipes and designated kitchen practices to ensure product consistency and quality

Perform cashiering responsibilities by ringing up customers with friendliness and efficiency

Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, adhering to all required health safety codes and practices

Maintain fresh ingredients and ensure the kitchen is stocked to meet recipe demands at all times

Stand for extended periods and complete tasks that require repetitive motions, lifting, and bending

Perform various duties throughout the kitchen and store as needed including  help with produce, dairy, bulk foods, freight, quality control, and scanning/inventory functions as assigned 

Utah Food Safety Certification required

QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For:

Previous experience in a retail, restaurant, or customer service role is preferred but not required. 

Experience handling cash transactions and using a cash register is a bonus

Knowledge of and ability to abide by health safety codes and practices

Ability to maintain fresh ingredients and ensure the kitchen is fully stocked

Capability to follow recipes and designated kitchen practices for product consistency

Willingness to perform various duties throughout the kitchen as needed

Great attitude with a willingness to learn and accept feedback

Positive, energetic, self-motivated, reliable, and punctual demeanor

$16-18/hr +$2/hr tips/DOE
