Kitchen Manager
Leadership & Communication
Communicates with staff in a respectful, professional manner at all times
Directs conflict to HR or Administrator
Gives clear instructions
Maintains an approachable and positive attitude
Promotes teamwork and mutual respect among staff
Listens to employee concerns and addresses them appropriately
Provides encouragement
Food Service & Meal Quality
Ensures meals are served on time and at correct temperatures
Follows approved menus and diet orders
Addresses meal complaints promptly
Therapeutic Diet Compliance
Ensures all special and therapeutic diets are followed exactly
Sanitation & Food Safety
Maintains a clean, sanitary kitchen environment
Proper wear of Beard Guards and Hair restraints
Ensures:
Proper food storage and labeling
Temperature logs are completed accurately
Inventory & Cost Control
Orders food and supplies efficiently
Keeps inventory organized and stocked
Emergency Preparedness
Maintains emergency food and water supplies
Follows emergency meal plans
Ensures ability to operate during power outages or disasters
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Prior experience in healthcare foodservice preferred
One year management experience in a foodservice or healthcare service industry preferred
High school diploma or equivalent education
Ability to multitask in regard to preparing, serving, and meeting customer needs
Demonstrated initiative and desire to promote a teamwork atmosphere
Work Environment:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to withstand extreme temperatures, hot and cold
Able to work long hours, including scheduled evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Able to interact positively with all demographics of people
