Keyboard/Piano Instructor – Part-Time
Bach to Rock Music School in Lincoln is growing, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Keyboard/Piano Instructor to join our teaching team.
Bach to Rock offers a contemporary, performance-based approach to music education. Our students range from young beginners to teens and adults, and our instructors help them develop strong musical fundamentals while learning music they are excited to play.
What You’ll Do
- Teach private and semi-private piano and keyboard lessons
- Work with students of varying ages, musical interests, and ability levels
- Develop students’ technique, musicianship, music-reading, and performance skills
- Incorporate contemporary music while building strong musical fundamentals
- Prepare students for performances and other school opportunities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Bach to Rock staff
- Create a positive, engaging, and professional learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Strong piano/keyboard skills and musicianship
- Experience teaching piano/keyboard or working with developing musicians is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults
- Comfortable teaching both fundamentals and contemporary music
- Dependable, energetic, positive, and professional
- A music degree or current music study is a plus, but demonstrated musicianship and teaching ability are equally important
- Evening and/or Saturday availability is especially valuable

Weekly “jam sessions” lead to Battles of the Bands and recording sessions in B2R Studios, our own professional recording facilities. B2R also holds regularly scheduled public concerts that encourage students to become seasoned performers. These creative group activities foster teamwork, build self-esteem and motivate students to perfect their musicianship through independent practice while having fun!
