Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for boarded animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff
- Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely during routine care
- Assist veterinary and technical staff with basic animal handling as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal feeding schedules, medications, and observations
- Provide compassionate interaction and enrichment activities for boarded pets
Requirements:
- Genuine love and passion for animals of all breeds and sizes
- Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other animals
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care instructions precisely
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous kennel, veterinary, or animal care experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
