KC111 - Part-Time Live-in or Live-out Nanny - Greenwich, CT

Overview

A warm and welcoming family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a part-time live-in while working or live-out nanny to care for their 2 young children. A 14 month old and a 3 year old. The 3 year old is in school 5 days a week. This role is ideal for an experienced, organized nanny who thrives in a semi-formal household and enjoys working in partnership with the parents. The family hopes to find someone warm, professional, and engaging who is able to balance nurturing play with structure, developmental guidance, and calm authority.

The family values teamwork, warmth, and proactive care, and is looking for someone who can anticipate needs, support smooth logistics, and integrate seamlessly into their home.

Schedule

• Monday and Tuesday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm 
• Overnight monitoring may be required if the parents are out of the home 

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care to both children 
• Manage daily routines: feedings, naps, bath time, and bedtime
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate developmental play and enrichment
• Organize outings, playdates, and structured activities for toddler
• Maintain tidy and organized children’s spaces (rooms, closets, playroom)
• Complete child-related tasks: laundry, toy rotation, stroller cleaning, preparing diaper and school bags
• Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children (no cooking for parents)
• Provide overnight monitoring as needed when parents are away
• Accompanying the family to the Hamptons during the month of August. The family would provide a car out on Monday mornings and then back on Tuesday evenings

Qualifications

• Confident managing two children of different ages at once
• Active and playful; enjoys swimming, outings, and engaging activities
• Knowledgeable in child development; incorporates age-appropriate learning into play
• Mature and authoritative — able to set boundaries with calm authority, balancing structure with warmth
• Highly organized and self-reliant — takes initiative with tasks such as packing bags, organizing closets, and cleaning children’s equipment
• Comfortable managing logistics, scheduling, and transportation
• Capable of preparing and serving simple, healthy meals for the children
• Aligned with family values — respectful, supportive, and intentional in modeling good manners, self-confidence, and responsibility
• Warm, professional, and proactive — able to balance partnership with initiative
• Engaging and playful while maintaining calm, firm boundaries
• Organized and detail-oriented; anticipates needs and supports smooth logistics
• Ideally looking for a nanny to travel with them over Christmas, likely not needed on other major holidays 

Requirements

• 5 years of full-time nanny experience with infants and toddlers
• CPR & First Aid certified
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; confident driving in the tri-state area (nanny car provided)
• Strong swimmer; able to supervise and join children in pool
• Comfortable working in a staffed household with a stay-at-home parent present
• Pet friendly, family has 2 cats 
• Must be local to the NYC/tri-state area 

Salary and Benefits

• $42-$45/hr NET(The role is W2, but your take home pay would be $42-$45/hr)
