Job Developer LARE

Job Details: Job Location: Andover Headquarters - Andover, MA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, An exciting opportunity to join our creative, energetic, dedicated team of professionals! LARE Institute at American Training is seeking a Full-time Job Developer for our Andover location. Demonstrates an obvious passion for the people we serve and puts WOW! Magic into action. This is a full-time position, M-F, 8-4:30 pm.

What does a Job Developer do?

Provides individualized career counseling and employment support to LARE students, including job search assistance, resume development, application completion, mock interviews, interview preparation, and follow-up with students and graduates. Works toward an overall placement goal of 80–85% annually, with a minimum of 4 student placements per month.
Develops and delivers career-readiness workshops covering professional etiquette, career planning and decision-making, resume writing, interviewing, life/work management, work maturity, and job search skills. Coordinates workshop schedules with instructors and maintains consistent communication with LARE Colleagues.
Builds and maintains strong employer and community partnerships through job development, outreach, networking events, hiring events, employer presentations, job shadows, facility tours, and community agency relationships. Develops a minimum of 2 new employment contacts per program each month while maintaining existing employer relationships.
Coordinates student employment opportunities and community resources by making appropriate referrals, arranging employer guest lectures, obtaining support letters when needed, connecting students with outside agencies, and working closely with funding sources, Case Managers, FEW Workers, and SSS Workers to support successful student outcomes.

Contributes to the success and culture of LARE Institute and American Training by actively participating in WOW! MAGIC events, supporting Alumni and Advisory Board engagement, assisting with proposals and special projects, ensuring students follow program guidelines, maintaining a professional image and attitude, and demonstrating a genuine commitment to teamwork and the students we serve. Occasional overtime may be required.

 
Qualifications:
Ability to speak publicly regarding LARE Institute in a knowledgeable way.
Ability to organize and schedule responsibilities according to priority.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least two years previous related experience.
One year of related business or counseling experience working with the public and/or private sector. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
