Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time

Jasper Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team in a full-time position.

Our Emergency Department nurses play a critical role in providing timely, high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of illnesses and injuries. We are looking for an RN who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, remains calm in changing situations, and values teamwork and personalized patient care.

What You’ll Do

As an Emergency Department RN, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include:

• Perform timely assessments and triage of patients presenting with emergency and urgent healthcare needs

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and standards of nursing practice

• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions

• Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and other nursing interventions safely and accurately

• Assist with emergency procedures, stabilization, and resuscitative care

• Coordinate diagnostic testing, laboratory services, imaging, transfers, admissions, and discharges

• Communicate effectively with physicians, EMS personnel, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team

• Accurately and timely document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the electronic medical record

• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

• Follow infection prevention, medication safety, patient safety, and emergency preparedness protocols

• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies in a state of readiness

• Participate in departmental quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Work collaboratively with other members of the Emergency Department and hospital team

What We’re Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or a current multistate nursing license recognized in Georgia

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within the required timeframe

• PALS certification preferred or ability to obtain within the required timeframe

• Emergency Department, critical care, or acute care nursing experience preferred

• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills

• Ability to prioritize care and respond effectively in emergency situations

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Dependable, professional, and committed to providing safe, compassionate patient care
