Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a JCD Equestrian Barn Hand
Position Type: Part-time
Pay Range starts at $17 per hour (or more depending on experience)
Hey there, animal lover 👋 We’re the team at Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center, and we’re looking for a dedicated JCD Equestrian Barn Hand to help care for our herd and keep our barn running smoothly. If you love working outdoors, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and have a soft spot for horses, this is the perfect role for you.
As a JCD Equestrian Barn Hand, you’ll help maintain our barn, tack, pastures, and animals year-round. Your day might include feeding animals, cleaning stalls and paddocks, fixing fences, or moving hay. You’ll keep a watchful eye on the herd, report any issues, and make sure our equestrian facilities are safe, clean, and well organized.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum age: 17
- Experience with animals preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- A willingness to take initiative, solve problems, and prioritize the well-being of both people and animals

- New Hire Orientation before your first shift
- Basic Life Support & First Aid before your first shift
