Role Purpose 

The Janitorial Agent is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout airport facilities, including terminals, restrooms, gate areas, offices, and public spaces. This role ensures a clean and welcoming environment for passengers, airport staff, and visitors while adhering to airport safety, security, and sanitation standards. 

What you will be doing 

• Clean and sanitize airport terminal areas, including restrooms, seating areas, gates, hallways, and public spaces 

• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout assigned areas 

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness standards 

• Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue 

• Clean spills and respond promptly to cleanliness or safety hazards 

• Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces such as handrails, counters, and door handles 

• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment 

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to supervisors 

• Support deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or assigned 

• Follow all airport safety, security, and company policies 

• Assist with cleaning support during high-traffic periods or special events 

• Maintain professionalism while working in passenger-facing environments 

• Perform other duties as requested

What we are looking for: 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment 

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills 

• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures 

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime 

• Reliable attendance and punctuality 

• Must have reliable telephone and transportation  

• Airport terminals, restrooms, gate areas, and public spaces 

• Exposure to high-traffic areas and frequent passenger interaction 

• Fast-paced environment requiring continuous cleaning and upkeep 

• May include indoor and occasional outdoor assignments 

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds 

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods 

• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift 

• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and high-traffic areas 

• Must be able to take verbally direct in English 

• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English 

• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests 

• Must pass a pre-employment background check 

• Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge 

• Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials 

• Identification badges must always be visible 

• Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
