Janitor

Job Details: Job Location: NBPT Facility - Newburyport, MA, Salary Range: $26.25 - $27.25Hourly, The janitor at our Newburyport facility is a full-time day into evening position. The janitor reports to our Facility Manager and will be focused on the cleanliness of our facility. They will work with the Facility Manager on all janitorial and custodial needs in our facility.

General

Follow through on all assigned tasks.
Work cooperatively with all team members and agency personnel.
Work closely with those we support who assist in the maintenance of each building.
Ensure a clean and safe environment and report any health or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate person based on policies and procedures.
Complete required mandated training.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Specific janitorial/custodian tasks are listed below and subject to change based on Facility needs that arise and identified by Facility manager. The following will be performed in all areas and rooms of building,

Clean bathrooms (this will involve cleaning up after bathrooms accidents).
Trash emptied, replace bag, trash to dumpsters.
Vacuum carpets.
Mop Floors.
Wipe down glass surfaces.
Clean walls and all surfaces needed
Check and refill Dispensers for soap/disinfectant.
Wipe down horizontal surfaces like desks, counters, file cabinets, windows, etc.
Clean microwaves and refrigerators.
Clean facility equipment such as washers, dryers, gym equipment, etc.
Clean sinks and dishes.
Dust off reachable surfaces.
Take on any janitorial need that arises to ensure the building is as clean as possible.

Qualifications: Related facility Experience. Multiple years of experience as janitor/custodian.
